I Have been meaning to try this earnings play out for after market earnings. I have been looking at any company who is expected to have positive earnings with an after hours earnings call. All of the stocks i look at that have this always spike up a ton right after market closes If i can get in around a 40 minutes before bell closes in the consolidation phase ususally we will get a spike up if its positive. On the flip side if its negative news I can short this stock becaue of people selling after market close ( i need the 25K in my account to switch to a margin account - i cant wait) My only mistake on this one was that I took out some shares before market closed just to lock in some profit. Not the worst thing i could have done but i would have made 150 dollars opposed to 75 had i kept more shares.
