We were chasing again. We bought two different stocks worth of shares and were chasing a short for the day. The first mistake was buying shares of two different stocks when we only had one trade on the day. That was spending money we dont have. The second mistake was chasing a short and not letting it come to you. You would never enter a long for no reason or chase the long so dont do it on the short. The other setup we saw from the first stock ended up working out phenomenally and would have netted 30 or 40 dollars if we would have waited 10 minutes or so. Wait for the great set ups and stop chasing shorts. You are just bleeding money at this point from this account. Be disciplined if you want to succeed at it or dont do it at all. Thats it. The stock we shorted wasnt near ANY long term resistance levels and not oversold on any chart. Out short thesis consists of buying overbought stocks that are at or near long term (ie 4 hour and 1d chart) resistance and overbought on the daily as well. Without that, we dont take the short. Bottom line.
